About the Role

Tribal One Construction is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site activities during the construction, renovation, or repair of federal buildings and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
  • Manage and supervise construction crews and subcontractors, assigning tasks and responsibilities to workers.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Ensure all work complies with federal, state, and local building codes and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of construction activities, progress, and any issues.
  • Prepare and submit reports to project managers and government agencies as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must be either a citizen of the U.S. or a non-U.S. citizen who has been lawfully admitted for permanent residence as evidenced by a Permanent Resident Card (USCIS I-551).
  • OSHA 30, EM, USACE CQM certification, and CPR/1st Aid certification are required.
  • Ability to successfully pass and remain in compliance with required background checks from Tribal 1 and any required federal government background checks.
  • Must pass drug screen and remain in compliance with drug-free workplace policies.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand or sit for long periods of time, access roofs, crawl spaces, and all construction areas.
Experience and Skills
  • Successful prior track record as a Superintendent on Federal government projects for a minimum of five (5) years.
  • Experience executing Quality Control Plans that align with Government Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans and Performance Measures.
  • Experience with writing, developing, or modifying company and/or site-specific safety programs.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in construction management software.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and agency-specific regulations, including the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Competent with MS Office products (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Working Environment
  • This position requires primarily working on construction sites, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and physical hazards.
  • Travel may be required to various project locations.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines.
