Program Overview
The HCA Nurse Residency Program at Frisbie Memorial Hospital equips you with the necessary tools to thrive in today’s healthcare environment. This paid program facilitates your transition from academic learning to practical application through:

Key Responsibilities
The RN Resident is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with departmental requirements and professional standards. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN Resident will:

  • Assess patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, reporting any changes
  • Perform medical procedures and monitor patient responses as directed
  • Document care administration accurately and promptly
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor for therapeutic effects
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment
  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • A valid Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in the state
  • No prior experience is required
