About the Job

Piping Drafter - A key role in our team at Career Crunch, responsible for delivering high-quality design deliverables for concurrent piping/facility projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform drafting duties utilizing basic drafting skills and techniques in compliance with company drafting standards and engineering practices.
  • Utilize AutoCAD 2019, CADWorx, AutoCAD 3D Map, and NavisWorks Manage to create and revise different types of scaled and non-scaled drawings.
  • Print, plot, and fill drawings as required.
  • Occasionally travel out of town for short periods to gather field data, including offshore platforms.
  • Ability to walkdown oil/gas facilities, creating flow schematics by redlining or sketching from scratch, and CAD redlines/hand sketches back in the office.
  • Complete high-paced assignments through effective prioritization, scheduling, planning, and execution of assigned work.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide diversity of personnel, including engineers, designers, vendors, and management.
  • Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work.
Qualifications:
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Vocational/Technical Drafting and Design 2-year Associates Degree or equal (min.)
  • Three to five years related experience in CAD drafting, hand sketching, and walkdown of Flow Schematics, Piping & Instrument Diagrams, Equipment Layouts, Piping Plans, Piping Isometrics, 3D Modeling, etc.
  • Computer Skills:
    • Operational knowledge of AutoCAD and CADWorx (latest versions)
    • Familiarity with NavisWorks Manage and AutoCAD 3D Map a plus
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word & Microsoft Office Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Safety Training:
    • Training and credentials required (already or obtain through client):
    • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
    • Basic Orientation Plus Safety Class
    • Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET)
    • Applicant will be subjected to drug screening per client and company requirements
  • Travel: Yes, 30-40% of the time, with occasional offshore travel
