Job Summary:
The Cardiac Rhythm Specialist is responsible for the continuous monitoring, interpretation, and documentation of cardiac rhythms, rhythm components, and telemetry indicators for multiple patients. The individual will view multiple patients' electrocardiographic displays to monitor noninvasive cardiac activity of patients and notify appropriate healthcare personnel on variances in the electrocardiographic pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret electrocardiographic displays for multiple patients
- Notify healthcare personnel on variances in electrocardiographic patterns
- Troubleshoot routine technical concerns with equipment
- Notify biomedical equipment individuals for non-basic repairs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of the Electrocardiogram (ECG) course within three months of hire or a score of 85% or greater on the ECG challenge exam
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire
