Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Director to join our team at the YMCA. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of maintenance staff, contractors, and volunteers to ensure the upkeep of our facilities.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and ensure optimal facility performance.
  • Oversee the maintenance budget and ensure that all expenses are within budget.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for facility maintenance and upkeep.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to facility maintenance and upkeep.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing maintenance teams and budgets.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other relevant trades.
  • Experience with facility management software and systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
