Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Cyber Training Specialist, you will be instrumental in delivering Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for a comprehensive training initiative across the Department of Defense (DoD). Your primary focus will be to ensure that forces assigned to USCYBERCOM are proficiently trained, certified, and capable of seamless integration with other Joint Forces through effective coordination with Combatant Commands.
Your role will involve establishing and maintaining rigorous training and certification standards for the Cyber Mission Force (CMF) and other Joint Cyberspace operations units, thereby facilitating successful USCYBERCOM missions.
You will assess the effectiveness of training programs to ensure alignment with objectives, adherence to Joint standards, and enhancement of the readiness of Cyberspace forces. This includes developing requirements for collective training and exercise events, conducting evaluations of training effectiveness, and contributing to the identification and documentation of insights and lessons learned from training and exercise activities within USCYBERCOM and across the Joint Force.
Additionally, you will provide strategic recommendations to the Joint client regarding doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures for the collaborative employment of Cyberspace operations forces. Your responsibilities will also encompass supporting the coordination and formulation of Joint mission essential tasks, reviewing relevant task lists, and evaluating USCYBERCOM's capabilities against established Joint mission essential task standards. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that CMF and other USCYBERCOM forces are thoroughly prepared to meet Combatant Command Cyberspace operations support needs effectively.
Essential Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in training, with a strong background in training standards and pipeline development
- 3+ years of experience supporting a Combatant Command (COCOM), Joint Function Headquarters-Cyberspace (JFHQ-C), or CMF team
- 2+ years of experience in creating and maintaining Job Qualification Standards (JQS)
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience in data collection through various methods, including working groups, interviews, and surveys
- Ability to engage with and present information to senior leadership
- Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong analytical skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
Clearance Requirements:
Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; possession of TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is essential.
