At The University of Chicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Telemetry team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to work in our Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of patient care plans.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's (ADN).
- Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois or valid temporary permit to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Acute care or related experience providing nursing care to patients within at least the last five years.
