Position Overview

Johns Hopkins Medical Management Corporation is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist (CVRT) for the Electrophysiology Lab. Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Four 10-hour shifts

Compensation: $75 - $85 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct specialized diagnostic procedures in Radiology, including interventional angiography and cardiac catheterization.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of all equipment, particularly patient monitoring systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide age-appropriate care for patients.
  • Assist physicians during various procedures.
  • Skillfully select catheters and guide wires, preparing the necessary contrast materials using a power injector.
  • Set up the procedure room with the required equipment and imaging materials.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining relevant aspects and obtaining preliminary images.
  • Process and compile images for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Adhere to established radiation safety protocols for both staff and patients.
  • Perform essential nursing duties related to patient care, including monitoring vital signs.
  • Recognize arrhythmias and communicate patient status to the physician.
  • Accurately label all images with anatomical site and patient identification.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Graduation from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
  • Experience in Electrophysiology is mandatory.
  • Possession of a Radiologic Technologist License in Maryland and ARRT certification, or RCIS certification as an alternative.
  • Current BLS CPR certification is required.
