Position Summary

The Culinary Service Associate is tasked with various responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Monitoring and documenting the appropriate temperature of food items.
  • Setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area.
  • Preparing and serving food items efficiently.
  • Restocking food supplies as needed.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment.
  • Processing payments for food and beverages using a computerized register.

This role adheres to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines to ensure food safety. The position requires excellent customer service skills and effective communication with patrons and colleagues. A strong ability to build positive working relationships is essential.

Maintaining quality control standards is a key responsibility. The associate may operate various equipment, including grills, beverage machines, cash registers, and dishwashers. Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred.

The candidate should be capable of working independently when necessary and possess a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. The role requires the ability to remain on feet for extended periods and to walk considerable distances.

Qualifications

Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Previous experience in customer service, retail cash handling, and knowledge of food service operations is preferred. The ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written instructions is required, along with basic math skills. On-the-job training will be provided.

Depending on the hiring location, obtaining Serv Safe certification may be necessary within a specified timeframe. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may also be required based on location-specific guidelines.
