Mail Room Coordinator

TEKsystems is seeking a Mail Clerk to join a large multi-national technology client in New York, NY.
We are looking for a reliable and professional individual who can help with general office and facilities duties – unloading shipments, processing office supply orders, coordinating maintenance service calls, mail sorting, and more.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the facilities supervisor and coordinator to ensure building maintenance services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the facilities supervisor
Ensuring the fulfillment of building maintenance
- Procurement of supplies and related mail room services
Works closely with the facilities coordinator
- Ensuring building maintenance services are delivered in an efficient, effective, and timely manner
Day-to-Day Tasks
Performing day-to-day tasks as per job requirements
Performing day-to-day tasks as assigned by the facilities supervisor
- Day-to-day inspections to ensure the building is at a high level of maintenance
Working alongside the facilities coordinator
- Building maintenance and custodial issues
- Ensuring high levels of cleanliness that consistently impacts employees, vendors, and visitor experience
Ensuring UPS maintenance is completed on a quarterly basis
On-site validating work orders are completed then generating new work orders as required
Responding to email requests for building maintenance and general correspondence
Supporting conference room maintenance, usage, and scheduling
Conducting inspections of MDF and IDF rooms on a daily basis and recording temperature readings, if necessary, and reporting up
Conducting daily inspections of the AVCN systems for the respective conference rooms
Providing support to the receptionist during lunch breaks or other times away
