Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Trinity Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care through the use of advanced imaging technologies. Under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging, you will perform diagnostic MRI exams in accordance with departmental standards, ensuring the highest level of patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities:

Obtain and record a complete clinical history pertinent to the examination requested.
Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to the coordinator and/or radiologist.
Instruct patients on the nature of the exam being performed and effectively communicate with them throughout the exam.
Follow established scan protocols or radiologist's special instructions, demonstrating appropriate use of equipment and accessories.
Select appropriate technical factors for the requested imaging exam and assist in the instruction of student technologists and new personnel.
Demonstrate accurate positioning and ensure patient comfort, proper screening procedures for contraindications to MRI examinations, and ensure proper magnetic field safety at all times.
Provide proper hearing protection to all patients and visitors and effectively complete all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures, and RIS requirements.

Requirements:

AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology
1 year CT and/or MRI experience
Current ARRT registration and NYS license required
