Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Ascension Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and/or psychosocial deficits.
  • Assess patients' ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills and design an appropriate plan of care.
  • Implement the treatment plan using various modalities and document findings of patient progress.
  • Monitor and modify the plan of care as needed and seek consultation when necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families/caregivers about patient deficits and plan for patient discharge from therapy services.
  • Oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established regulations and practice standards.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR) credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
