About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Ascension Via Christi. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our occupational therapists in delivering evidence-based treatments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medically prescribed occupational therapy under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
  • Implement an established treatment plan using appropriate modalities and document patient progress.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress and possible goal revisions to the occupational therapist.
  • Provide education to patients and families/caregivers about patient deficits and assist with discharge planning.
  • May oversee the care provided by therapy technicians according to established regulations and practice standards.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Certified Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (COTA) credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
