Job Summary

Driscoll Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join our team. As a PICU RN, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill children and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
Requirements
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas.
  • BSN preferred.
  • BLS (American Heart Association) and Advanced Specialty Courses (ASC) according to Attachment A.
  • National Certification in Pediatric Critical Care Nursing (PCCN) or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nursing (CPN) within 3 years of completing orientation.

Driscoll Children's Hospital is a 245-bed pediatric hospital located in Corpus Christi, Texas. Our PICU is a 24-bed unit that provides care to critically ill children from birth to 18 years old.
