Inspector - UT

Job Summary:

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a highly skilled UT Inspector to join our team at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. As a UT Inspector, you will be responsible for performing ultrasonic inspections on welds, parts, and components in various areas, including structural and piping. You will also be required to verify and certify work is complete and satisfactory according to specifications and record and report inspection results.

Responsibilities:

* Perform ultrasonic inspections on welds, parts, and components
* Verify and certify work is complete and satisfactory according to specifications
* Record and report inspection results
* Work in a collaborative and team environment and meet organizational goals

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1+ years of previous shipyard or similar manufacturing experience or UT Inspection
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints
* Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense
* Ability to obtain and maintain Level I and Level II UT certification

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous UT experience
* Current or previous certification as Level I/II UT Shear Wave
* Shipyard experience
* Military/Navy experience
