Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team at Healthy Community Health Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our pharmacy team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the pharmacy team
    • Supervise and mentor pharmacy personnel
    • Develop and implement efficient workflows and processes
  • Operations and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all governing bodies and insurance contracts
    • Monitor and maintain accurate records and reports
    • Perform audits to ensure medications are billed and paid for accurately
  • Financial Management
    • Monitor financial performance of the department
    • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies
    • Manage inventory and supplies
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
    • Address patient and provider concerns in a proactive and timely manner
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a staff pharmacist
    • Valid pharmacist license in Virginia
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and management skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adjust work efforts accordingly
    • Proficient user of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Valid Virginia State Pharmacist License
    • BLS certified
    • Certified to administer vaccines
