The Position

This is a full-time faculty position that begins in July 2024, with a 30-credit hour teaching load annually.

The successful candidate will teach all courses in the Automotive Service Technology Program, and will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, assessing student learning, and providing student advising and support.

The position also includes serving on campus and college-wide committees, participating in program development and review, and contributing to the college's mission and goals.

Responsibilities

Teaching responsibilities include:

  • Teaching course load as assigned
  • Evaluating courses and assessing student learning
  • Meeting established course, program, and learning outcomes
  • Complying with guidelines and policies
  • Maintaining office hours per established standards
  • Developing rapport with students
  • Assisting with and participating in advising, orientation, and registration activities

Service responsibilities include:

  • Serving on campus and college-wide committees
  • Participating in program development and review
  • Contributing to the college's mission and goals

Requirements

Qualified candidates must be credentialed to teach in this program, or eligible to be credentialed.

Examples of ideal qualifications include:

  • A related associate's degree (or relevant current industry license or certification) and 4000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years
  • A related Bachelor's or any Master's degree with 18 discipline-related credits and 2000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years

The successful candidate will have experience in a variety of instructional modalities, including live in-person, livestream, hybrid, asynchronous, and synchronous delivery, and will be proficient in the use of a learning management system (LMS) like Canvas.

Colorado Mountain College offers a competitive salary range of $74,591.59 - $90,852.49 annual salary, depending on a combination of education and experience.

Relocation assistance may be available to the successful candidate based on eligibility and availability.

Language

The official language of Colorado Mountain College is English, but bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities are preferred.
