Position Overview:
We are seeking a Trainee Sign Installation Specialist to become a part of our dynamic team at Signarama - Springfield, MO. Role Responsibilities:
As a Trainee Sign Installation Specialist, you will have the chance to cross-train in various sectors of the business, including sign production and installation. This role is dynamic, allowing you to acquire new skills, work in diverse areas, and enjoy outdoor installations for a refreshing change of pace. Your adaptability and eagerness to learn will be essential for your success and growth within the organization.

All vehicles operated are under CDL, thus CDL certification is not required. However, a valid CLASS E driver's license is necessary, and a driver's record check will be conducted. Candidates must pass a drug screening and be at least 21 years old to drive. Comfort with driving the following vehicles is essential:

· Altec LS49 Crane truck (49' reach)
· Elliott L60 (60' reach) manual transmission
· Ford Transit Connect Van

Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn to operate and maintain crane trucks, ladder trucks, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other heavy machinery.
  • Develop skills in using both power and non-power tools for sign installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Safely lift, load, and unload materials and signs weighing up to 150 lbs manually and up to 1,000 lbs with equipment.
  • Install various types of signs, including ground signs, building signs, interior logos, and vehicle wraps.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tools, wiring, and sign installation.
  • Ensure adherence to all company and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Assist with sign production tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class E driver's license and a clean driving record (essential for consideration).
  • Experience in construction.
  • Comfortable using basic power tools and capable of lifting over 50 lbs.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and eager to acquire new skills.
  • Positive attitude and dedication to teamwork.
