Job Title: Civil Project Manager

Braun Intertec is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead transportation civil engineering projects in our Bloomington or White Bear Lake, Minnesota office.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage routine to moderately complex transportation projects, providing expertise to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Perform project management work, including cost estimate and proposal preparation, internal project set-up following Braun Intertec policies, external project set-up following MnDOT requirements, contract processing, review of observation and test data for conformance with project documents, and prepare final summary reports.
  • Work with operations to coordinate field staff on projects.
  • Perform various field testing and observations.
  • Stay current with changing federal and state-aid agency standards and specifications.
  • Assist field operations with technician training and review as needed.
  • Work closely with senior level engineers and project managers to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Hold face-to-face meetings with new and existing clients.
Required Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and communicate project budgets.
  • Computer aptitude and familiarity with Braun Intertec utilized systems, including Metafield, Microsoft Dynamix AX, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving history required.
  • Well-versed in MnDOT specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detailed-oriented.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation agency policies and specifications.
Required Experience:
  • Three or more (3+) years of relevant experience required.
  • Hold certifications in, or have the ability to obtain, the following certifications: ACI level I, MnDOT Grading and Base, MnDOT Aggregate Production, MnDOT Concrete Plant I, MnDOT Bituminous Plant I, Nuclear Moisture/Density Gauge Radiation Safety training.
  • High School Diploma with post-secondary diploma in a related field or relevant project experience.
