Forensic Chemist

NMS Labs is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Chemist to join our team in Willow Grove, PA. As a Forensic Chemist, you will be responsible for performing chemical and analytical testing, including the isolation and identification of chemical substances in forensic casework samples.

• Perform chemical and analytical testing, including the isolation and identification of chemical substances in forensic casework samples.
• Handle and sample forensic casework samples, maintaining the appropriate chain of custody of evidence.
• Independently perform analysis of chemical substances utilizing chemical, microscopic, TLC, and instrumental methods to include GCMS.
• Generate, interpret, review, and release results, performing routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation.
• Provide expert testimony and effectively communicate scientific findings to internal and external clients.

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological science, or forensic science from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 16 semester credit hours in college-level chemistry coursework above General Chemistry.
• MUST HAVE coursework and labs in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Analytical (Instrumental) Chemistry.
• MUST HAVE 3 college-level semester credit hours in Statistics or be willing to take and pass a statistics course within one year of employment.
• Licensed by the Texas Forensic Science Commission within 1 year of hire, as applicable.

• ABC certified.
• Court testimony experience.
