At Generac Power Systems, we're revolutionizing the energy technology landscape. As a leading innovator, we're seeking a visionary Value Stream Manager to spearhead our manufacturing operations at our state-of-the-art facility in Beaver Dam, WI.

This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic team and drive meaningful change. As a Value Stream Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operation of a value stream, ensuring a safe work environment, driving quality improvements, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing a high-performing team, maximizing profitable growth, and reducing operating costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily operations and continuous improvement activities, fostering a culture of continuous product flow and employee empowerment.
  • Design and direct processes to drive quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, while developing and executing short- and long-range continuous improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, leveraging tools like PDCA and MDI to deliver metric results.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure a skilled and adaptable workforce, with a focus on process standardization and employee development.
  • Participate in the development of strategic plans and initiatives, driving business growth and innovation.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive operations or lean management experience, with a proven track record of driving process improvements and leading high-performing teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Lean, Operations, or Supply Chain certifications.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in flow principles, Kanban, and plan for every part (PFEP).
  • Leadership experience with a diverse team, with a focus on developing and empowering employees.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25-50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
