Job Summary

The HVAC Start Up Technician will be responsible for the start-up and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, as well as other products, in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications for our Residential New Construction Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform start-up of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as other products, in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications.
  • Test systems to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues that require repair.
  • Complete all paperwork in a neat, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Communicate with the office and management regarding any additional work or issues that may require a change order or adjustment.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude and good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Beginner computing skills and ability to use a computer, laptop, or tablet.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • HVAC trade school certification.
  • 1-2 years of experience in construction, HVAC, or a related field.
  • EPA certification.
Working Conditions
  • Majority of work will take place at construction sites with minimal time spent in an office environment.
  • Travel by vehicle to and from work locations.
  • Regularly exposed to construction environments involving equipment, elevated work areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials, and odors.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work on platforms/scaffolding.
