POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Material Handler at BedRug Inc. is responsible for executing tasks related to the material handling process, which includes receiving goods, organizing inventory, and ensuring efficient stock management. This role primarily involves operating Sit-down Forklifts to maneuver materials in confined spaces, with a strong emphasis on safety and adherence to operational protocols.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Effectively transport materials to and from designated areas while maintaining product integrity.
- Ensure precise inventory management through regular cycle counts and product transfers within the Warehouse Management System (WMS); investigate and rectify discrepancies.
- Maintain a tidy and secure work environment; perform additional tasks as required.
- Facilitate clear communication with various departments and supervisory personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- At least one year of relevant experience or training is advantageous.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
- Proficient in operating powered industrial trucks and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply common sense to problem-solving.
- Capable of handling issues with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Competent in reading and interpreting safety regulations, operational guidelines, and procedural manuals.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and inventory management.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
This position functions as an individual contributor, with no direct oversight of other team members.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role involves heavy physical activity, requiring the ability to exert significant force to move objects. The position includes various physical activities such as climbing, balancing, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Employees may be exposed to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including heat, noise, and vibrations typical of a production setting.
