Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing 24-hour healthcare services to offenders at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections - SCI Huntingdon. This includes conducting physical assessments, establishing nursing diagnoses, and referring offenders to practitioners as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical assessments and establish nursing diagnoses for offenders
- Provide medication and treatment as ordered, and monitor medication compliance
- Provide health-related education to staff and offenders
- Maintain department compliance for inspections
- Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title
- Ability to perform essential job functions

Please note that this position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $86, before taxes.
