At Athena Care Inc, we are committed to providing exceptional mental health services to our patients. We are currently seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Psychologist will provide direct patient care, including counseling and psychotherapy, within the scope of practice. The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree from an accredited program and at least three years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and recommendations for appropriate treatments.
  • Diagnose and treat various mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
  • As needed, provide referrals to internal or external practitioners.
  • Provide counseling to individuals and families within the scope of practice and experience.
  • Document services provided in the electronic medical record (EMR) consistent with standards of practice, internal policies of Athena Care Inc, and HIPAA or other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate licensure, supervision, and continuing education requirements in a manner consistent with standards of practice.
  • Maintain knowledge of current standards of care and research in the field; apply knowledge to improve practice and provision of care.
  • Adhere to appropriate practice guidelines in provision of care.
  • Must be eligible to participate in commercial insurance networks and Medicare.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree from an accredited program required.
  • Three or more years of experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Current, valid psychologist license issued by the state of TN required.
  • Special areas of focus (e.g. children/adolescents) preferred.

Physical Requirements
