Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Welder Specialist to join our team at Dogwood Industries LLC, a leading steel fabrication company. As a Welder Specialist, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately welding steel assemblies from plans, specifications, and quality control hold points.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld steel assemblies from plans, specifications, and quality control hold points
  • Perform simple fittings and process complex parts for assembly
  • Understand written and verbal instructions while following dimensional and welding drawings
  • Produce production quality welds within a given process
  • Read and understand shop plans, blueprints, and work orders
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience welding or trade school education
  • Certified welder holding current WABO or AWS certification (FCAW)
  • Skillful operation of most nonspecialized metal working equipment
  • Understanding of visual inspection criteria in preQC work checks

  • Full range of mobility in upper and lower body
  • Ability to reach overhead, work in various positions, and use hands to handle objects
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push material and equipment
  • Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $34.00, depending on experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes health benefits, company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, accident and hospital insurance, paid vacation, paid sick leave, and 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
