Position Overview:
The Healthcare Patient Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of a busy outpatient wound care facility. This position is essential for managing various front office tasks and providing support to the clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with center management to optimize daily patient flow.
2. Actively engage in team meetings to enhance center operations.
3. Welcome patients and visitors, managing phone calls and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
4. Handle all patient communication, including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders, while coordinating with providers according to the care continuum model.
5. Verify patient insurance details, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations, and maintain accurate records in relevant databases.
6. Process and record patient charges, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
7. Prepare monthly patient survey data and documentation for provider review.
8. Organize and maintain patient charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
9. Schedule ancillary tests with other departments as needed.
10. Arrange transportation for patients when necessary.
11. Maintain office and medical supplies, ensuring all equipment is functional.
12. Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- A minimum of two years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting is preferred; prior experience in medical coding is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute.
- Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player.

Compensation:
The hourly wage for this role typically ranges around $21.00, depending on qualifications, experience, and operational needs.
