Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispense unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals, and related supplies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Compound medications using sterile and ventilated environments, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Process, pack, and ship outgoing pharmacy orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Review medication orders, evaluating appropriateness and completeness, and verify prescriptions not directly received from prescribers or physicians' agents.
  • Provide oversight of pharmaceutical care, ensuring safety, appropriateness, and effectiveness of specialty products dispensed.
  • Assess patients at the initiation of drug therapy, develop patient care plans, and monitor patients throughout therapy.
  • Communicate with patients, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient status, response to therapy, and clinical objectives.
Requirements:
  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
  • Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Ohio.
  • Solid drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge.
  • Knowledgeable in various infusion-related therapies and ability to work through complexity of therapy-related orders.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to fill medication orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and rotate being on call based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Nutritionally Certified.
  • Pharmacist with Home Care or Home Infusion experience.
  • Sterile compounding experience.
  • CPR+ software experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting, standing, walking in an office/pharmacy operation environment.
