Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Breakfast Chef to join our team at Blair Hill Inn, a renowned Relais & Châteaux designated hotel and restaurant in Maine. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating unique daily menus, preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement daily menus that showcase your culinary expertise and creativity
  • Prepare and present consistently high-quality dishes that meet our high standards
  • Have a good knowledge of kitchen operations and cookery skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional food safety and hygiene management, with a strong focus on maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
  • Work closely with our Executive Chef to achieve consistency and meet all management standards
  • Act as a supportive leader and take responsibility for the team's growth and development

Requirements:

  • Experience as a line cook, sous chef, or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, cookery skills, and food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and communicate effectively with the team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
