UCHealth (Colorado) is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Aurora, Colorado.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in our Respiratory Care Main department. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing response to ordered therapy per plan of care, evaluating respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices, and responding to codes and calls for emergent assistance.
Responsibilities:- Provides care for patients with respiratory disorders.
- Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care.
- Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
- Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance.
- Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community resources.
- Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- NRP obtained within 1 year if assigned to NICU; tracked on unit.
