Position Overview
Culinary Specialist -Prepares and serves meals, including specialized diets, adhering to relevant standards and regulations to ensure quality dining services as directed by the Dining Services Director. Ensures compliance with procedures for receiving, storing, preparing, serving, sanitation, and cleaning.Safety Practices - Utilizes protective gear, oversees the proper use of cleaning solutions, promptly reports equipment needs, and follows safety guidelines and infection control policies to maintain a sanitary environment.Punctuality - Consistent attendance, timely completion of tasks, and prompt response to system alerts as required.Customer Interaction - Represents HCSG positively, follows instructions, and maintains courteous interactions with supervisors, co-workers, and clients.Resident Engagement - Ensures positive and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and guests.Qualifications
- Exhibit a positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, perform daily tasks, and demonstrate leadership skills independently, ensuring safety and productivity.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with experience in food preparation and completion of sanitation and safety training.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county regulations.
- Ability to meet scheduled work times, lift/carry weight, and perform routine tasks continuously.
- Must reside within the service area.
