Job Summary

The Produce Department Team Lead is a key leadership role within our Produce team, responsible for supporting the Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader in fulfilling all department operations. This includes product management, food safety, quality control, sales generation, and guest service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of our products and be able to educate team members on their features and benefits.

Main Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service and communicate product information to increase sales and meet revenue goals.
Assist the Team Leader with ordering products for the Produce Department and maintain product inventory at a level that promotes creative and effective sales merchandising.
Develop and maintain product displays that create an exciting marketplace and impact customer buying trends.
Assume primary responsibility for store-level vendor relations and participate in product promotions.
Maintain stocking standards that ensure high product quality, including rotation procedures.
Prevent internal and external loss, conduct physical inventories, and practice inventory control.
Ensure all outdated products are pulled, recorded, and discarded from the Produce sales areas daily.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a high level of self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to problem solve and work in a diverse team environment. They will also possess excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as creative merchandising and display skills.
