Per Diem Addiction Medicine Therapist

As a Per Diem Addiction Medicine Therapist with Kaiser Permanente, you will provide chemical dependency services and psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, and families under indirect supervision. This role requires a strong understanding of addiction medicine and the ability to work effectively with patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with chemical dependency issues.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, as well as family and adolescent therapy as assigned.
- Develop and present treatment plans to the treatment team for recommendations, revisions, and approval.
- Participate in clinical case conferences and provide education to patients and families on chemical dependency topics.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Perform case management services, including resource and referral coordination.
- May provide mentorship and clinical direction to junior therapists and students.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a field related to behavioral health, such as social work, psychology, or sociology.
- Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in addiction medicine therapy, within the last five years.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California).
Additional Information:
This is a per diem position, covering Orange and Laguna Hills locations. Hours will vary depending on coverage needs. Will consider an associate therapist for this role.
