Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Faculty Member - Visual Arts Studio to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching foundational studio art courses, mentoring students, and contributing to the department's curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach studio art courses, including Two-Dimensional Design, Drawing, and Painting
  • Mentor and advise students on their artistic development
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of curriculum, SLOs, and assessment tools
  • Support student exhibitions and campus events
  • Participate in departmental duties, such as promoting safety and developing new teaching methods
Requirements
  • Master of Fine Art (MFA) or MAFA degree required by August 1, 2024
  • Knowledge of the AFA degree program and its relationship to BAFA/BFA programs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the College's support services
  • Experience with teaching and mentoring students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
