Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary:

The Senior Vice President of Finance is a key member of the executive team at Spencer Technologies, responsible for overseeing all financial matters for the organization. This includes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, forecasting, planning, budgeting, financial analysis, cash management, and procurement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and business administration, with a minimum of five to ten years of managerial experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO and executive team for strategic planning purposes
Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation
Develop and implement effective tracking methods for revenue and expenses
Oversee the development, oversight, and management of the organization's investment plan
Lead and manage the budgeting process
Gather and analyze financial data for forecasting and trend analysis
Coordinate the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports
Manage insurance coverage for the organization, including compliance

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
Five to ten years of managerial experience
Certifications such as CPA, CFA, and CMA are preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Work Environment:

The employee will work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team. The employee must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. The employee must also be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
