Position Summary:

We are in search of a dedicated and proficient Orthopedic/Spine Registered Nurse who is passionate about enhancing patient outcomes to become a vital part of our expanding healthcare team. In this role, you will provide care for patients experiencing musculoskeletal disorders and conditions.

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional care to individuals dealing with bone fractures, arthritis, and various other musculoskeletal issues, including those recovering from joint replacement surgeries and individuals with degenerative diseases.

The ideal candidate for the Orthopedic/Spine RN position will serve as a knowledgeable resource in clinical nursing and professional practice. Key responsibilities include monitoring neurovascular status, providing external fixation care, casting, and facilitating continuous motion therapy. Additionally, you will assist patients in their recovery journey through therapy and support. You will also act as a mentor and resource for physicians, professional peers, and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physicians to administer treatments for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Monitor patient health and report any changes or improvements to the medical team.
  • Administer prescribed pain medications to patients as directed by physicians.
  • Develop and manage a pain management schedule to ensure patient comfort.
  • Quickly address any adverse reactions to medications or allergies.
  • Educate patients on pain management strategies and infection prevention post-surgery.
  • Assist with patient hygiene and personal care needs.
  • Support injured athletes in their recovery and rehabilitation process.
  • Assist orthopedic surgeons in various procedures.
  • Perform wound care for patients with infections.
  • Monitor and document vital signs regularly.
  • Facilitate the formation of support groups for patients.
  • Help patients enhance mobility and functionality through environmental modifications.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Comply with corporate compliance requirements and report issues as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience in a clinical environment.
