Job Summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Somerville, Massachusetts. As a Med Surg Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with substance use disorders, working collaboratively with our clinical team to deliver comprehensive treatment services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with opioid and substance use disorders, including screening, telephone triage, and medication-assisted therapies.
  • Coordinate substance use treatment services at both Charlestown and North End sites, working closely with the clinical team to ensure seamless care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based clinical principles and motivational counseling techniques.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, including primary care, social services, and enabling support services.
  • Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and program efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred; new graduates must have a BSN degree.
  • Experience working with substance abuse patients required, with a focus on motivational counseling, relapse prevention, and self-management goals.
  • Certification in substance use disorder treatment (CARN) a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
