Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Mental Health Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing exceptional care to patients with mental health needs.
Job Summary:We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu. The successful candidate will work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including accurate and timely documentation of patient information
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, maintaining professional boundaries
- Participate in patient rounds and teams, contributing to the development of individualized care plans
- Complete patient care assignments, prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient and effective care delivery
- Identify patient behaviors that contribute to the development of a crisis, utilizing de-escalation techniques to manage situations
- Communicate changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse, ensuring seamless care coordination
- Follow established Nursing policies, procedures, and protocols, maintaining a commitment to patient safety and well-being
- High School diploma or GED required; two years of college plus one year of clinical experience preferred
- Previous experience in direct patient care, preferably in a psychiatric setting
- Verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work in collaboration with others
