Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse II to join our team at the Health and Human Services Commission. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care and support to individuals with complex mental health, behavioral, and medical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and performing technical nursing procedures.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses, Physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Train and instruct new staff members on nursing functions, including acclimating them to individuals and describing their needs and preferences.
  • Monitor individuals' health status, weight, diet, meals, and vital signs, and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in disaster response and recovery efforts, as needed.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas.
  • Experience working with individuals with complex mental health, behavioral, and medical needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
