Investment Portfolio Analyst


We are looking for a dedicated Investment Portfolio Analyst who possesses a strong technical background and market insight to assist in the management of an automated trading platform.

The ideal candidate will be engaged during U.S. trading hours.
This role requires full-time onsite presence.
Company is open to visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily operations related to the trading platform for equity and futures markets.
  • Continuously monitor and assess system performance to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Oversee and verify trades and system metrics in real-time.
  • Step in to manage the trading platform when staffing levels are limited.
  • Address trading discrepancies, including unacknowledged orders or failed trades.
  • Facilitate change management and ensure new software and hardware are operational.
  • Identify and respond to system incidents, troubleshoot issues, and escalate when necessary.
  • Engage in follow-up investigations for root cause analysis of identified problems.
  • Adjust for and respond to corporate action events.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement enhancements to trading procedures.
  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of trading system parameterization data.
  • Improve and further automate existing processes through scripting and reporting.
  • Create and maintain documentation of trading-related procedures.
  • Understand portfolio organization and hedging strategies.
  • Possess knowledge of investment portfolio management and exposure monitoring.
  • Recognize corporate actions and adjust accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of markets and trading practices.
  • Seeking an operationally focused individual with a technical background; ideal for someone aspiring to be a Trader.
  • Must understand portfolio management, risk assessment, and hedging.
  • Proficient in UNIX/Linux and Windows environments.
  • Experience with Perl, Python, or Ruby scripting and SQL is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Exhibit sound judgment in problem-solving and escalation.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Report directly to the Trade Desk Operations Manager.
  • Assist with processes related to market openings.

  • Stay informed about market dynamics.
  • Understand portfolio organization and hedging principles.
  • Address issues proactively (e.g., scripting) to capitalize on market opportunities.
    • Differentiate between complex and straightforward issues.
    • Post-system activation, engage in proactive tasks (e.g., enhancing scripting skills).
      • Completion of Series 57 is required; training materials will be provided if necessary.

      • Seeking a versatile individual with interests in both technology and trading.
      • Utilize a proprietary high-frequency trading system.
