Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reconciliation Specialist to join our team at America First Credit Union. As a Reconciliation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial records by reconciling general ledger accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconciliation: Verify transactions and balances for accurate classification within the general ledger, comparing and matching general ledger transactions and balances to internal and external subledgers, statements, and data sources.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve discrepancies and outages identified in the reconciliation process.
  • Reporting: Ensure reconciliation reports are provided to internal stakeholders for review and resolution of outstanding items.
  • Communication: Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reconciliations.
  • Journal Entries: Create general ledger journal entries to ensure the correct classification of transactions and other accounting adjustments.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience desired.
  • Skills: Well-organized, accurate, and attentive to detail; excellent math skills; cooperative and willing to assist others; excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work under pressure and deadlines; excellent time management skills and able to work independently.
