Radiation Oncology Physicist

Oncology Hematology Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Physicist to join our dynamic team in ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation in medical procedures.
As a Medical Physicist at our facility, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with our team of physicians, radiologists, and technologists to provide high-quality patient care and advance the field of medical physics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determines the need for, specifies, and accesses dosimetric and treatment planning equipment.
- Participates in the specification, selection, and acceptance of radiation-producing machines and computerized treatment-planning systems.
- Supervises arrangements for proper maintenance of radiation treatment equipment.
- Maintains responsibility for the design and implementation of the quality management program.
- Advises and consults with physicians to provide advice or direction to technical staff.
- Develops protocols for performing and checking monitor units calculations.
- Participates in chart rounds to ensure the fulfillment of the prescription and review any changes in dose and patient set-up.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited institution is required.
