Job Overview

The role of the Machine Operator involves the secure production of microspheres, which serve as a lightweight functional additive in various industrial applications. This position also encompasses the packaging of the final product and conducting quality assurance checks to confirm that the output adheres to established specifications.

Compensation

Pay: $17 per hour plus a $1 incentive for night shifts.

Shift: 3rd shift from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with initial training on the day shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM for a duration of 6 weeks. The pay rate during the training period is $17 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the workspace in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Lift and transfer materials into hoppers to create product batches.
  • Guarantee the smooth flow of materials throughout the production process.
  • Prepare raw materials for batch production.
  • Operate packaging machinery to fill containers and boxes.
  • Collect samples as necessary for quality control.
  • Manage recyclable materials by breaking them down and placing them in designated areas.
  • Conduct forklift operations to load and unload materials.
  • Engage in bagging, palletizing, and shrink-wrapping tasks.
  • Ensure pallets are adequately stocked for material loading.
  • Remove any unused pallets from the work area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Must successfully complete a basic skills assessment; a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience: Previous manufacturing experience is essential, including the ability to operate a forklift.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Must pass forklift certification and operate a forklift regularly.
