Position Overview
Catalpa Health is seeking a dedicated Client Support Specialist to enhance our client service experience. This full-time role involves providing exceptional support to clients and their families, ensuring a welcoming environment at our clinic.
Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Client Support Supervisor, the Client Support Specialist will:
- Offer a warm and professional greeting to clients and visitors, both in person and over the phone.
- Utilize active listening skills to understand client needs and provide appropriate assistance.
- Maintain a positive and courteous demeanor in all interactions, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Manage client inquiries and concerns, directing them to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Facilitate the completion of consult referrals and prior authorizations, keeping clients informed throughout the process.
- Ensure accurate client record management and insurance verification.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Optimize scheduling for clinicians based on client demand and provider availability.
- Handle registration tasks, including checking in clients and processing payments.
- Answer incoming calls, triaging them effectively to provide excellent service.
- Educate clients about pre-service requirements and assist with authorization processes.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma.
- At least one year of experience in a clinical or customer service environment.
- Strong typing skills and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy.

This position is based in a professional office setting, providing a climate-controlled work environment.
