Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional service to students, families, colleagues, and school leadership.
- Address the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the children under your supervision.
- Collaborate effectively within a team to cultivate healthy and supportive relationships.
- Maintain positive and effective communication with the Site Director.
- Comply with all organizational and departmental policies to ensure the safety of children, parents, and staff.
- Exemplify positive behavior and educate children in a way that promotes mature and responsible conduct.
- Complete all required training in a timely manner.
- Implement the daily curriculum and schedule, providing weekly feedback.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School Diploma.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Background Screening and Drug Screening.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (training available through Discover After School).
Desired Skills:
- Willingness to learn and grow.
- Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills in English are essential.
- Bilingual candidates with proficiency in both English and Spanish are preferred.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, patient, and committed to enhancing program effectiveness.
- Excellent communication skills for interactions with children and staff.
- Ability to solve problems and think critically in daily situations.
Expectations:
- Respect and embrace diversity among children, parents, and staff.
- Attend all relevant meetings for this position.
- Assist in the upkeep and cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
- Wear the designated staff uniform.
- Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts.
- Adhere to safety protocols for children, parents, and staff.
- Follow the planned activities.
- Understand and comply with all policies and procedures.
- Be flexible in taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Communicate any concerns promptly to the Site Director.
Job Type: Part-time
Compensation: $15.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
