Overview:

This recruitment aims to create a pool of candidates for part-time, temporary, hourly teaching assignments. Candidates will be contacted by the hiring manager if there is interest in scheduling an interview.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct credit ESL courses focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and/or elective subjects
  • Develop curriculum centered around thematic units sourced from various multimedia materials
  • Engage in curriculum design and evaluation
  • Collaborate with fellow faculty, staff, and administrative personnel
  • Implement culturally responsive teaching methods
  • Hold regular office hours for student support
  • Employ learning management systems for effective content delivery

Required Qualifications:

AND:

  • Master's degree in TESL, TESOL, applied linguistics, English, or education; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in TESL, TESOL, English, or linguistics with a master's in a related discipline; OR
  • Equivalent qualifications; OR
  • California Community College credential

Demonstrated commitment to delivering quality educational programs for a diverse student population.
