Speech Pathologist Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team at Guthrie. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing a full range of speech therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote functional independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments and choose appropriate assessment tools and materials based on patient age and development level.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives.
- Evaluate patient response to treatment and update treatment plans as needed.
- Document patient progress and provide education on tasks and resources for continued functional independence.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning and next-level care determination.
- Maintain adherence to policies and practices of federal and state guidelines, professional organizations, and entity facilities.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification required unless completing a Clinical Fellowship year.
- Current licensure in the state of practice is required.
- Current BLS Certification mandated.
- Experience working with patients presenting with disabilities in speech/language, cognition, voice, and dysphagia.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of $83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development through continuing education and training programs.
