Job Summary

Celestica is seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for performing routine tasks related to the manufacture, assembly, and modification of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hand soldering, manual assembly, and setup of semiautomatic and automated assembly equipment and tools.
  • Operate automated test equipment and functional test units.
  • Inspect and minor repair of product.
  • Use visual aids, wiring lists, verbal and written instructions, and other documentation to perform assembly work.
  • Recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and report them to a Team Leader.
Requirements
  • Ability to learn and follow detailed assembly instructions.
  • Ability to set up, operate, and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.

  • Ability to learn established quality and quantity requirements.
  • Ability to manually assemble components and produce high-quality products in defined time periods.
Working Conditions

The duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.

Education and Experience

Typical experience: Zero to two years of relevant experience.

Typical education: High School or equivalent (basic numeracy and literacy).
