Lead Medical Technologist

Job ResponsibilitiesThe primary objective of this role is to identify the presence or absence of medical conditions and provide essential data to assist healthcare providers in determining optimal patient care strategies. Key areas of laboratory medicine include:
- Clinical Chemistry
- Hematology
- Transfusion Services (Blood Bank)
- Clinical Immunology
- Clinical Microbiology
- Serology
- Molecular Diagnostics
- Ability to calibrate, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination for specimen collection and preparation.
- Strong commitment to lab safety and infection control protocols.
- Conducting tests across various laboratory disciplines, including clinical chemistry, hematology, and transfusion services.
- Ensuring accurate specimen labeling and logging, as well as maintaining quality control measures.
- Participating in staff training and educational initiatives.
- Maintaining confidentiality of laboratory information to uphold patient trust.
- Contributing to a safe work environment by adhering to established standards and legal regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Certification as SBB(ASCP).
- Two to five years of experience in a lead Medical Technologist role within a Blood Bank setting.
