About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Centerline Drivers. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers while upholding the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment, ensuring timely and efficient repairs.
  • Perform general and detailed repairs on all trucks, engines, and components, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
  • Overhaul gas or diesel engines, installing new parts and components as needed.
  • Install injectors, pistons, liners, camshafts, cylinder heads, rod and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, change or recharge batteries, and replace transmissions and other parts.
  • Read job orders, observe, and listen to vehicles in operation to identify malfunctions and plan work procedures.
  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, making adjustments as needed.
  • Lubricate moving parts and drive repaired vehicles to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Tag all warranty parts and return them to the warranty clerk.
  • Attend training classes and stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years mechanic or diesel tech experience in a dealership or related truck service facility.
